Thirsa Kraaijenbrink from Leiden University Medical Center’s forensic laboratory will share her laboratory’s experience as the first European forensic laboratory to beta test the Spectrum CE System from Promega. She will discuss the workflow improvements and improved user experience that the Spectrum offers as well as initial data generated with the instrument. Additionally, Dr. Robert McLaren, from Promega’s R&D Department will provide an overview of the PowerPlex(R) 35GY System, the first commercially available 8 color STR kit and share preliminary developmental validation results of the Spectrum CE System.
